From discovery to clinical use
Our foundational science guides new ways to identify who may benefit from a treatment, assess whether a drug target can work, and develop therapies and clinical trials around lasting functional benefit.
Patient stratification
Identify which patients may benefit, and why.
Patients with the same diagnosis can have different reasons for impaired function. We develop ways to group patients by the biological problem a treatment addresses, their capacity to respond and their recovery pattern. This gives clinical studies a basis for testing who benefits, under which conditions.
Diagnostic assays
Find what limits function.
Our assay programme distinguishes problems in receiving signals, carrying out cellular work, clearing damaged material and recovering after use. These measurements connect treatment selection to the problem being addressed and test whether the benefit lasts.
Our measurement standard: challenge, recover, rechallenge.
Drug-target assessment
Assess whether a target can deliver the intended response.
Combine human tissue maps, molecular evidence and functional assay design to assess where a target is present, what it needs to work and what could impair it. This helps developers select targets and identify which experiments will establish their therapeutic potential.
Therapeutics and drug development
Restore the capacity a treatment needs.
Target-capacity pharmacology connects what a drug acts on to what the body can do:
- Drug
- Target engagement
- Usable target capacity
- Physiological response
- Clinical outcome
This guides therapies that preserve, rebuild, bypass or diversify functional targets, with matched assays to explain treatment response. It also makes restoring treatment responsiveness a development goal: when a therapy needs machinery a patient has lost, an enabling treatment can restore it first, and a trial can test the therapy, the enabling treatment, both together and both in sequence.
Our filed patent applications cover diagnostic assay designs, therapeutic targets, receptor-protection compositions and drug-candidate designs.
Clinical-trial design and support
Design trials to explain benefit, failure and durability.
Support study teams in selecting patient groups, biological measurements, treatment timing and clinical outcomes. Connect drug action to functional benefit, adverse effects and recovery over time, so the study can test why responses differ and whether an initial gain lasts.
Our measurement standard: challenge, recover, rechallenge.
Understanding personal health
Make health information easier to understand and discuss.
Through our owned domains ExplainMyHealth.com and CheckMyDiagnosis.com, we propose services that help people understand their health records, connect findings across body systems and prepare informed questions for their clinicians.
Participants could separately choose to contribute information about symptoms, laboratory results, treatments and recovery over time to our research programmes.
